Welcome to Part Three of the interviews we conducted backstage at the 2025 edition of the Premier Gala de l’ADISQ, held Nov. 5, 2025, at Montréal’s MTelus.
Matt Lang
Matt Lang is arguably the Québec country artist with the highest profile outside of the province, and his consistent efforts were rewarded at the 2025 Premier Gala de l’ADISQ. His latest album, All Night Longer, earned him his first two Félix Awards for Album of the Year – Anglophone and Show of the Year – Anglophone. He was beaming when he stopped by to chat with us.
Pierre Kwenders
On his album Tears on the Dancefloor, Pierre Kwenders leaned into the EDM style of his Moonshine collective, rather than the African sounds that defined his earlier albums, and it paid off. He won a Félix at the Premier Gala de l’ADISQ in the Album of the Year – Bilingual and Other Languages category, rather than in Global Music. In this interview, he tells us about his connection to the dancefloor, and how it can help us process grief.
thaïs
thaïs took home the Félix for Album of the Year – Electronic Music at the Premier Gala de l’ADISQ for Personne. This album sees her define a more confident, fully electronic sound, thanks in part to the co-production work of Blaise Borboën-Léonard, known for his work alongside Lydia Képinski, Le Belladone, and BéLi. She breaks it all down in this video.
Ramon Chicharron
Ramon Chicharron took home the Félix for Album of the Year – Global Music for Niebla, his second win in this category. The Colombian-born SOCAN member shared his thoughts with us just after his victory.
Bon Enfant
Bon Enfant’s Demande spéciale won the Félix for Album of the Year – Rock for at the Premier Gala de l’ADISQ. This third album marked a shift in the band’s sound, reflecting the members’ desire for renewal, as they each pursue solo careers alongside the group. We spoke to them about the constant evolution that drives them.
