The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (CSHF) has unveiled the lineup for its 2025 Légendes induction ceremony, scheduled for Nov. 17, 2025, at L’Espace St-Denis in Montréal. The event promises an evening filled with heartfelt tributes and standout performances, honouring the talent and enduring legacy of this year’s inductees. Tickets are on sale on Espace St-Denis.

Hosted by Anne-Marie Withenshaw, the evening will bring together some of Canada’s most iconic artists – Richard Séguin, Diane Juster, Roch Voisine, and Rufus and Martha Wainwright – alongside Lou-Adriane Cassidy, Thierry Larose, Ariane Roy, Marie-Mai, Ivan Boivin-Flamand, Viviane Audet, Elisapie, Jonathan Roy, Steve Hill, Daniel Boucher, Martine St-Clair, and Emilie-Claire Barlow.

Montréal will pay tribute to some of the most iconic figures in Québec’s musical heritage: Kate & Anna McGarrigle, renowned for their harmonies and timeless songs (“Talk to Me of Mendocino”); François Cousineau, a key composer in the Québec repertoire (“J’ai rencontré l’homme de ma vie,” “T’es belle”) ; Michel Pagliaro, a bilingual rock pioneer (“J’entends frapper,” “Loving You Ain’t Easy”); and Florent Vollant, a leading voice in Indigenous music (“E Uassiuian,” “Nipaiamianan”).

The 2025 SOCAN Foundation Découverte Award will be awarded to duo Rau_ze, winners in the Francophone category, in recognition of the power of their songwriting and the meteoric rise of their career.

“The Légendes induction is more than just a ceremony – it’s a living bridge between generations of Canadian music,” said Nick Fedor, Executive Director of the CSHF. “By celebrating both trailblazers and emerging creators, we help ensure the vitality and longevity of our collective musical legacy.”

The 2025 inductees will then be permanently honoured at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre in Calgary, where artifacts and memorabilia will showcase their contributions to Canadian music history.
