SOCAN has presented the members of Vancouver-based duo FIONN with a No. 1 Song Award for writing “Blow,” which reached No. 1 on both the Mediabase Alternative Chart and the Billboard Modern Rock chart for three weeks, starting Oct. 13, 2025. The song is a single from FIONN’s current album Scum, released a few days after the song first topped the charts.
SOCAN Account Executives Coralie Hummel and Phil Laffin presented the award to the identical twin sister members of the FIONN, Alanna Finn-Morris and Brianne Finn-Morris, along with their producer Kevin Maher, who co-wrote “ Blow” with them.
The plaque was handed out on Dec. 15, 2025, at the offices of 604 Records and Simkin Artist Management, with whom FIONN works. Also attending the celebration were Jonathan Simkin (who manages both companies); Amanda Ker (of 604 Records); and Charlotte Mauricio (of Warner Music Canada, which distributes FIONN’s 604 recordings).
SOCAN congratulates FIONN, their entire music industry team, and Maher on this great achievement.
