SOCAN members Marcus Trummer and Wes Mack won first-place prizes in the Best Americana Artist and Best Sync Artist categories, respectively, of the 2025 Unsigned Only song competition. Trummer won for his song “Hard Time” while Mack won for his, “Cold.”
SOCAN members, or acts featuring SOCAN members, also earned 29 runner-up mentions in various categories. Four members each earned double such recognitions for their work: Wes Mack, RIELL, Daryl Kelly, and Emerald Osagie. Canadians also chalked up three or more runner-up prizes in each of the Country, Rock, and AAA categories.
