SOCAN held a Kenekt Nashville Song Camp, presented in partnership with Concord Music Publishing, Sept. 8 to 10, 2025, at East Iris Studios. The event gathered an impressive lineup of major label artists, No. 1 songwriters, and producers – half from the Concord roster, half represented by SOCAN, and a few additional creatives with other affiliations.

Participants included artists Tyler Braden, Tommy Acker, Restless Road, Thomas Edwards, Tayler Holder, Cody Lohden, Karley Scott Collins, and SOCAN member Carv; songwriters and producers Kendell Marvel, Aaron Eshuis, Colton Venner, Andy Albert, Jon Nite, Abram Dean; and SOCAN member songwriters and producers Brad Rempel, Gavin Slate, Dylan Guthro, Kat Higgins, Karen Kosowski, Kelly Archer, Emma-Lee, Tebey, Robyn Dell’Unto, and Thomas “Tawgs” Salter. The camp was hosted and facilitated by Liam Russell, SOCAN Creative Executive, Los Angeles & Nashville.

This initiative reflects SOCAN’s commitment to uplifting its Nashville-based members. The Nashville market is home to a strong and growing community of Canadian songwriters making their mark in country music – for example, Brad Rempel (James Barker Band) co-wrote Josh Ross’s recent single, one of the first by a Canadian to reach No. 1 in the U.S. country charts. By creating opportunities for Canadian and SOCAN writers to collaborate with top U.S. talent, the camp helped to strengthen creative connections and open new pathways for success.
