The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (CSHF) announced its 2026 inductee class of The Tragically Hip, Feist, Loverboy songwriters Mike Reno and Paul Dean, and Roch Voisine. The ceremony, featuring never before seen performances and interpretations of songs by the inductees, will be held on September 26, 2026 at Massey Hall in Toronto. Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster, with presenters, performers, and special guests announced in the following weeks.
“These are writers whose songs have endured, traveled, and become part of the country’s shared experience. They did not follow a template; they defined one,” said Nick Fedor, Executive Director of the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The Tragically Hip’s powerful storytelling helped shape the sound of an entire country; Loverboy reminded us of tender romantic beginnings; Leslie Feist’s sensitive and passionate indie rock and pop soundtracked a million millennial dreams; and Roch Voisine, whose global appeal landed him as the first Canadian to achieve a number one hit in France.
The event will be livestreamed globally by Amazon’s Music channel on Twitch and Prime Video for audiences across Canada.
The songwriters celebrated here will have their legacies enshrined in Studio Bell at the National Music Centre in Calgary.
