The 13th edition of the Gala Trille Or took place on May 29, 2025, at the Azrieli Studio of the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. Produced by the Association des professionnels de la chanson et de la musique (APCM), this major event is a cornerstone in recognizing excellence in the Francophone music industry across Canada.
The evening marked the grand finale of the 2025 Trille Or celebrations, with the presentation of the final 10 awards, during a vibrant show directed by Kristell Le Nôtre and Rayannah, and hosted by radio personality Éric Robitaille. Among the evening’s highlights was Sudbury native Mclean’s win in the prestigious Songwriter of the Year category, which came with a $1,000 SOCAN grant, presented by Sara Dendane, SOCAN’s Creative and Partnerships Executive.
The Gala featured electrifying performances from Mehdi Cayenne, Mimi O’Bonsawin, Alexis Normand, De Flore, Mclean, and Sophie Grenier. Two other award ceremonies were held on May 27 and 28, where accolades included a Lifetime Achievement Award presented to legendary band Garolou, represented on the occasion by members Robert Paquette and Breen Leboeuf.
Many other trophies were handed out during the two Célébration Trille Or galas leading up to the main event. You can find the full list of winners from May 27 here and May 28 here.
