Haiti-born Quebecer Wesli won the World Music Album of the Year at the 2019 JUNO Awards Gala & Dinner on March 16, 2019, in London, ON. We met with him backstage to talk about the happy marriage between Haitian folk music and his own compositions on his winning album Rapadou Kreyol. We also took some time to discuss the place and recognition of world music in Québec.
