Sebastian Gaskin has earned a SOCAN No. 1 Song Award for “Cherie Amour” – the first ever presented by the organization for topping the Indigenous Music Countdown chart – in this case, on Jan. 4, 2026.
Gaskin co-wrote “Cherie Amour” with songwriter-producer Milan D’Agostini, and the song is published by Blast Music House.
SOCAN’s Lord Quest presented the plaque to Gaskin during JUNO Awards weekend, at SOCAN HQ in the Hamilton Sheraton hotel, on Friday, March 28, 2026.
