SOCAN has presented L.A.-based songwriter DYLN (aka Stephanie Lang) with a No. 1 Song Award for co-writing “Cry Baby,” performed by LU KALA, which reached No. 1 on the CBC Top 20 Chart on February 13, 2025.

“Cry Baby” was co-written by LU KALA, Elizabeth Lowell Boland (Lowell), Vaughn Oliver, and Bryan Fryzel (Frequency), and is published by Prescription Songs, Artist Publishing Group West, and Vaughn Oliver Music.

SOCAN Associate Director, Creative Executives Racquel Villagante presented the award plaque to DYLN on May 13, 2025, while celebrating with a lunch at Petit Trois le Valley in Los Angeles.

SOCAN congratulates all of the co-writers, publishers, and performers of “Cry Baby,” on this great achievement!
