The event, attended by a distinguished gathering of 250 SOCAN members, artists, and industry luminaries, marked a momentous occasion for SOCAN and its community.

The rooftop soirée, set against the backdrop of the iconic Hollywood Hills skyline, served as a testament to SOCAN’s commitment to supporting its members’ achievements on the global stage. With the Grammy nomination of some of our own, SOCAN showcased its dedication to nurturing and promoting Canadian talent internationally.

“We’re incredibly proud of our members’ Grammy nominations,” said SOCAN CEO Jennifer Brown. “Their recognition highlights the exceptional talent within our community, and we’re honoured to support and celebrate their achievements.”

The event featured speeches from notable figures, including Brown, who addressed the attendees with words of encouragement and praise. Zaib Shaikh, Consul General of Canada in Los Angeles, graced the occasion with his presence, offering words of commendation and solidarity.

SOCAN members at the reception included Grammy nominees Darcy James Argue, Hilario Duran, Andreena Mill (aka BLK LT$), Adrian X (aka Adrian Eccleston), Sara Diamond, Yonatan Ayal (of Chiiild), and Kevin “Kofo” Ekofo, as well as Dave Hamelin, Jay Century, and Esthero.
