SOCAN has presented Vancouver-based songwriter/producer Brian Howes with a plaque to recognize his role in co-writing the Jonathan Roy song “Lost,” which earned an Anglophone Popular Song Award at the 2023 SOCAN Francophone Gala, which took place on May 7, 2023, in Montréal.
Howes was unable to attend that event, so SOCAN CEO Jennifer Brown; Director, Creative, Cameron Kennedy; and Account Executive – Radio, Concerts & Publishing, Coralie Hummel presented the honour before a dinner with the producer and his family, at Lupo restaurant in Vancouver, on June 28, 2023. “Lost” was co-written by Howes, Jason Van Poederooyen, and Jonathan Roy (who also performed it), and is published by Kobalt Music Publishing.
