In a video captured backstage at the 2017 JUNOs, Francophone Album of the Year Award winner Laurence Nerbonne talks about her acceptance speech, in which she encouraged women to get more involved in music production; the recording process of her winning album XO; the importance of SOCAN in her career; and of SOCAN’s Kenekt Québec songwriting camp, in which she participated in 2016, and which allowed her to include a new song — “Comme les autres,” written with Jason Bajada and Étienne Dupuis-Cloutier during the camp — on the deluxe edition of XO.
On April 23, Laurence Nerbonne is flying out to Nicaragua to participate in the third national edition of the SOCAN Kenekt song camp.
