A lot has happened since Karkwa won the Francophone Album of the Year trophy at the 2011 JUNO Awards, for Les chemins de verre, as well as winning the Polaris Prize the year before. Thirteen years later, one of Québec’s most beloved bands earned its fourth JUNO nomination with Dans la seconde. A lot has changed since the band’s self-imposed hiatus – which was much to the chagrin of their fans –  and their triumphant return will be completed later in 2024. We spoke to Louis-Jean Cormier and Stéphane Bergeron during their visit to the SOCAN HQ a few hours before the JUNOs Opening Gala in Halifax.
