On July 28, Léa Trévidic joined SOCAN’s Member Services team as the Film & TV Lead, Québec. Based in Montréal, she reports to Mike Rocha, Director, Film & TV, and works closely with Québec and Francophone Affairs and various Member Services teams, including and Creative Services.

Léa brings more than 15 years of experience in the music industry, where she has developed expertise in project management, rights administration, music publishing, artist support, and cultural funding. In her new role, Léa is responsible for supporting composers and music publishers within Québec’s audiovisual ecosystem. She works on initiatives related to music rights, synchronization, cue sheets, member support, and industry development.

Prior to joining SOCAN, Léa served as Senior Program Analyst at Fondation Musicaction, where she evaluated funding applications and supported artists, music companies, and entrepreneurs through various funding programs. Previously, she held roles at Simone Records as a Project Manager, at Secret City Records in production and distribution, and at the Festival de musique émergente en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (FME) as International Delegates Coordinator. Committed to continuous learning, she also completed a Certificate in Human Resources at Université Laval in June of this year.

Thanks to her extensive knowledge of Québec’s cultural sector and her strong relationships with numerous artists, companies and organizations, Léa has a solid understanding of the challenges facing stakeholders in the audiovisual industry. Her arrival marks an important step in the ongoing rollout of the organization’s dedicated Québec resourcing plan and its commitment to Québec’s film and television community.
