Latin urban star Fito Blanko has been on the scene for a few years, and now he’s ready to jump into the limelight. Born in Panama and raised in Toronto, he released his first album Higher Level at 19. That prompted features in Urban Latino, and Billboard, and won him a Canadian Urban Music Award for Global Rhythms International Recording Artist and a Latin Industry Award for Best Solo Artist.
Since then Blanko has been relentlessly touring, recording, making appearances, doing remixes, and has been featured on songs with such high-profile artists as Drake, Pitbull and Fuego.
His smash 2011 single “VIP” showcased him to the world, and in 2012 he’ll complete a tour of South America with stops in Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Chile. He now owns and operates his own world music label, Crown Loyalty Entertainment, and we can expect more activity from Blanko this year, both on the World and Urban R&B charts.
