On June 6, 2025, the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television unveiled the full list of nominees for this year’s 40th annual Gémeaux Awards. Eighteen SOCAN #ComposersWhoScore are finalists across three music categories. New this year: the Academy has separated original music for fiction and documentary productions into two distinct categories.

In the category Best Original Music: Fiction, the nominees are:

The recipients of all three music categories will be announced at the Documentary and Industry Gala on Sept. 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., hosted by Nicolas Ouellet – who’ll also host the Opening Gala on Sept. 14 at 2:00 p.m. The awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 8:00 p.m. on ICI TÉLÉ.
