Fondation SPACQ (Société professionnelle des auteurs et des compositeurs du Québec) has revealed the winners of the 2024 edition of its annual awards ceremony, held on Sept. 23, 2024, at Arsenal Contemporary Art in Montréal. A total of 15 grants of $10,000 each were presented, in recognition of the excellent work of Québec authors, composers, and performers. Lise Dion hosted the event for the first time.
The Stéphane Venne lifetime achievement award for non-performing songwriters, presented by SOCAN, went to Ève Déziel. SOCAN’s Alexandre Alonso, Executive Director of Québec Affairs, and Nathalie Gagné, Training and Quality Assurance Specialist, present her with the award at the gala.
