From Feb. 19-27, 2025, Rendez-Vous Québec Cinéma invites everyone to celebrate the best of Québec cinema through a program of 185 films; more than 100 guests from all horizons, involved in Québec’s film industry; 21 events, 19 of which are free; and nine festive evenings. The professional component of the event, the Rendez-Vous Pro, will be presented Feb. 22–26, 2025, at Montréal’s Cinémathèque québécoise. The activities on Feb. 22 will centre around short films, while Feb. 24 will be devoted to the Québec film industry, and Feb. 25 will focus on equity, diversity and inclusion. SOCAN members active in screen music will certainly want to mark their calendars for Feb. 26 to attend a full day of discussions dedicated to the music industry in Québec cinema.
On hand to offer participants stimulating discussions, inspiring reflections, opportunities for musical discovery, and valuable information about screen music will be APEM (the Association des professionnels de l’édition musicale); SPACQ-AE (the Société professionnelle des auteurs, compositeurs du Québec et des artistes entrepreneurs); AQPM (the Association québécoise de la production médiatique).
