During the first week of June, SOCAN held a large-scale song camp with partners Warner Chappell Music, Universal Canada, and Homecoming in downtown Toronto.
The three-day event was held across WCM offices and Universal Studios, and was facilitated by SOCAN Senior Creative Executive Houtan Hodania, Creative Executive, Black Music Lord Quest, Ricardo Chung of Warner Chappell Canada, Rich Christina of Warner Chappell Music Publishing, Liv DuFine of Warner Chappell Music Publishing and Andrew Briol of Homecoming.
The camp gathered songwriters, producers, and artists from Canada and the U.S. to co-create songs with strong placement potential while fostering collaboration, innovation, and meaningful connection among attendees.
The camp participants were 12AM, Andre Denim, Teddy Fantum, Sofia Kay, Kwazii, Riley Bell, Dom Dias, Kassidy, TOBi, Bryn, Elio, Trey Joshua, Memblem, Shareef, Emma Klein, Melvv, TyriqueOrDie, Sunetto, Just Ideas, Jiggi, Preston Pablo, Nia Nadurata, RUSSEL!, Runway, Drew80, Briol, Ethan Young, Yaakov Gruzman, Tony Parker, DT Beats, fkblnd, Samaera, Tom French, Doressa, Milano, Zack Zadek, Haviah, Casper TNG, Billa, Toko!, Yama, Nyan, Kiyoshi, J Warner, Figuerz, and 2AM.
