I'm talking about neglect, addiction, obsession, euphoria, and delusion," Fernie explains, going on to talk about Patrick Watson's participation. "Surprisingly enough, I didn't show this song to Patrick at first. I felt it was too much self-exposure on my part, and I was extremely reluctant to show him my demo. Of course, he took a liking to it. He took my pain and turned it into something beautiful. I can't thank him enough."
