Music has always been a way of life for PEI singer-songwriter Tim Chaisson, who recorded and toured with his family’s Celtic group for years before deciding to write his own songs. He has since earned more than 19 industry awards and nominations. Chaisson has been refining his folk- and country-influenced rock sound, backed by his band Morning Fold (Tian Wigmore, Brien McCarthy and Nat Lamoureux MEMBERS?). His latest album, released in 2009, entitled Broken Hearted Beat, was produced by Gordie Johnson and has some co-writes with Joel Plaskett. The video for the title song hit No. 1 on MuchMoreMusic’s Top 10, and Chaisson and Morning Fold have put in critically acclaimed appearances at CMW, NXNE, JunoFest and as opening-night headliners for Atlantic Canada House at the 2010 Olympics.
