Gala Dynastie 2024Since 2017, Gala Dynastie has celebrated and highlighted the outstanding achievements of personalities from Québec’s Black communities who excel in the fields of media, arts, and culture. Presented in two parts – the Media Gala and the Culture Gala – these events honour the richness and diversity of Black talents that transcend borders, while highlighting their important contributions to the cultural, artistic, and media industries.

The Professional component of the event, La Semaine Dynastie, is back for a second year, and we’re proud to present a SOCAN 101 clinic; our staff will be on hand in the SOCAN booth to answer questions. We’ll also participate in a Master Class on music creation and production, as well as the Dynastie Unplugged event. This week of enriching exchanges, musical showcases, and networking culminates in the two-part Gala Dynastie, where some 100 cultural artisans and media representatives are nominated. There are two dates to save: April 21, 2024, at Cinquième Salle (Media), and April 27, 2024, at Théâtre Maisonneuve (Culture).

Gala Dynastie received a record number of entries this year, 673 – an increase of 49 percent over last year, which offers testimony to the vitality of the cultural and media activity of the Black communities in Québec,
