SOCAN honoured publisher peermusic Inc. with a No. 1 Song Award for “People’s Champ” by Arkells, which reached the top spot on the CBC Radio Top 20, on April 26, 2018.
SOCAN A&R Representative Melissa Cameron-Passley presented the award to peermusic’s Cheryl Link at Rosalinda restaurant in downtown Toronto, on April 3, 2019.
The song was co-written by band members Anthony Carone, Mike DeAngelis, Nick Dika, Max Kerman, and Tim Oxford. “People’s Champ” was published by peermusic Inc. at the time of the charting.
