In a video interview, star beat-maker, producer, songwriter and SOCAN member Frank Dukes (a.k.a. Adam Feeney) – one of two winners of the 2018 SOCAN Songwriter of the Year Award, the other being Shawn Mendes – briefly discusses his work. Specifically, creating his own Kingsway Music Library, working with Post Malone, and studying other producers. Dukes – who’s worked with Kanye West, The Weeknd, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Lorde, and Cardi B, among others – also offers his one essential piece of advice for young songwriters, and shouts out SOCAN.

Dukes was accompanied during the interview by Kaan Gunesberk, one of his co-writers on the global Camilla Cabello hit “Havana,” for which they were both honoured with a 2018 SOCAN Pop Music Award. Dukes also won two 2018 SOCAN Rap Music Awards, for co-writing Drake’s “Fake Love” and Post Malone’s “Congratulations.”
